Anytime I see a video or something on television wedding-related, like a unique wedding entrance, a surprise during the reception, brides-to-be attempting to find their perfect dress (wait what?), or how a proposal was made, I think about how charming the whole process must be.

However all the good feelings are replaced with a sour taste in my mouth and a bitter grimace at the idea of a wedding. What's the point, I wonder. I feel like the idea and importance of such an event are ruined for me. What a crying shame.
